Klok Privacy Policy

Klok ("the App") is a work-hours and task-tracking application for employees of organisations that use the Klok platform. The App is provided by New Horizon Technologies ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information the App handles and how.

1. Who controls your data

The App is provided to you by your employer (the organisation that holds a Klok account). Your employer is the controller of your work-related data. New Horizon Technologies operates the Klok service and processes data on your employer's behalf.

2. Information we collect

The App accesses and processes the following, solely to provide its features:

• Account & profile information — name, email address, phone number, role, organisation, and unit. This is created by your employer in the Klok platform; the App displays it and lets you sign in.
• Work activity — tasks assigned to you, work-hours you log (start/stop timer and manual entries), and related notes you enter.
• Authentication tokens — stored securely on your device to keep you signed in. These are removed when you sign out.

The App does not collect your location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers, and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.

3. How information is used

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• To show your profile, tasks, work-hours, and notifications.
• To record the work time and task updates you submit, on your employer's Klok account.

The notification shown while a work timer is running (a foreground service) exists only to let you see and stop active time tracking. It transmits no data on its own.

4. Data storage and transmission

Data is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the Klok backend at klok-api.newhorizontech.in. On your device, only your session tokens and the current timer state are stored locally; both are cleared when you sign out.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising. Your work data is visible to your employer's authorised users within the Klok platform (for example, managers reviewing tasks and hours), consistent with normal employment use.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your account and work data are retained for as long as your employer maintains its Klok account, per your employer's policies. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact your employer's Klok administrator, or email us at the address below and we will route your request appropriately.

7. Children

The App is intended for use by employees and is not directed to children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
